With half a decade of experience in the world of dentistry and counting, Dr. Jonathan B. Petrie is excited to help offer exceptional and customized dental care for the surrounding areas of Jacksonville. Originally from Gulf Breeze, FL, he enjoys getting the chance to meet new people and forge new relationships while discovering ways to understand patients’ wants and needs regarding oral health care. His experience in the hospitality/service industry prior to dentistry also helped solidify the value he places on the importance of relationship building, not just in the workplace, but within the entire community. Where Did You
Study Dentistry?

Dr. Petrie received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida before attending the University of Louisville where he obtained a Master of Science in biology. Dr. Petrie then went on to the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry for his dental doctorate. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency through the University of Florida in Seminole, Florida, where he went through the Implant Educators and the Comprehensive Interdisciplinary Implant Continuum, He also earned his certification in Nitrous Oxide Psychosedation. Over the years, he’s remained diligent in his continuing education courses so that he can stay on top of the latest developments in dentistry.

Outside of the Dental Office,
What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Petrie married his wonderful wife in 2017 and claims he would have never made it through grad school, dental school, or his residency without her. Together, they have two amazing boys and a dog named Addie. Aside from treating and improving patient’s smiles, he also enjoys hobbies like running, listening to music, surfing, paddleboarding, going to the beach or pool with the family, meeting new people, and volunteering at community outreach. One fun fact about him: he was able to donate his hair to charity twice within 6 months!
